I finished Elena Ferrante's My Brilliant Friend four-book saga. In this article I will try to explain why it resonated with me, a 25-year-old woman born and bred in Italy. I'll feature some opinions from people who read it, while trying not to spoil it too much. Here's why you should read Elena Ferrante's novels.
